THE VISIONARY
Dr. Alain Gachet
Nuclear physicist, mining engineer, and geophysicist. After 20 years in oil exploration, Dr. Gachet turned his expertise toward humanity’s most vital resource: water.
He advises governments, foundations and NGOs on a pro-bono basis — using NASA remote sensing data to identify the best performing teams and projects to support.
Dr. Gachet has helped millions of people in Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

WHY WOMEN
The Multiplier Effect
Women are the stewards of their communities. When they gain access to water, entire families and villages are transformed.
THE BURDEN
Women and girls are responsible for water collection in 7 out of 10 households without water on premises.
They spend a collective 200 million hours every day collecting water — time stolen from education, work, and caring for their families.
Every hour a girl spends fetching water is an hour away from school, perpetuating cycles of poverty.
THE TRANSFORMATION
When water comes to a village, mothers become the agents of change — raising healthier children, growing food, and stewarding their communities.
Girls stay in school. Women start businesses and grow crops. Families break free from the cycle of poverty.
Investing in water for women is the highest-return

SOVEREIGNTY
The Operating Model
The Gachet Foundation uses space technology intelligence to identify, fund, scale and monitor the highest-impact water and food security projects in developing economies.
Identify
We identify with U.S. space technologies the best projects to fund and support with the right partnerships
Finance
We fund the best NGOs to drill, build infrastructure, and develop irrigated agriculture around new water sources.
Scale
Proven projects are replicated across regions, multiplying impact from one community to entire nations.
